Classroom Building
Jessy’s Learning Center is expanding into a new and improved facility for a well-established school already serving a high-density, low-income community in Libuyu, Livingstone, Zambia. Jessy and her small team of volunteer assistants—trained by Open Schools Worldwide—currently teach around 150 children, ages 4 to 13, but have had to turn away many others due to limited space. To meet this growing need, Jessy and her family have acquired land and begun constructing classrooms to provide more children with access to quality education in a better environment. The grant from Project Builders will help complete a block of four partially built classrooms, creating space for student learning, teacher training, and community outreach activities.
